STARS called in to respond to second collision in Lamont County

Saturday was not a great day for drivers in Lamont County.

After RCMP responded to a fatal collision between a vehicle and a semi-truck in the morning, officers were called back to Highway 16 later that same day to respond to a serious single-vehicle collision.

STARS air ambulance responded to the scene on the highway near Range Road 182 where the lone occupant in the vehicle was air-lifted to an Edmonton hospital.

At this moment, there is no word on the condition of the person involved in the crash.

The area was closed for a time but reopened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
