Farmers’ Market wraps up for the season

The Fort Saskatchewan Farmers’ Market has come to a close.

The weekly market is now closed for the season, with the last market taking place on Thursday (Sep. 14).

Marcie Mazurenko, executive director at the Fort Saskatchewan and Lamont Regional Chamber of Commerce. said that it was a spectacular summer for the market.

“The market went really well this year. We had some great weather. We had a wide variety and diversity of vendors, and we had a lot of people come and enjoy the market every week.”

Throughout the entire summer, there was only one occasion where the market closed down due to an incoming thunderstorm.

“We had our hot dogs to kick off the market, and a couple of weeks ago we had our corn roast. We had a lot of community involvement,” added Mazurenko. “Overall, it was a great season.”

The Farmers’ Market will be returning to the CN Station parking lot next summer.
