Edmonton police investigating suspicious death outside shelter

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are investigating a suspicious death.

On Sunday (Oct. 1) evening, officers responded to reports of an injured man outside of the Hope Mission, located near 105A Avenue and 100 Street.

Officers took the 39-year-old man to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Edmonton’s Homicide Section has taken over the investigation, with an autopsy scheduled for Tuesday.
The cause of the man’s injuries have not been released.

Police are asking anyone with information about this suspicious death to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
