Leduc RCMP arrest three after gun goes off in garage

Leduc RCMP have arrested three people after a gun went off in a Calmar garage.

Police were called to the garage on September 21 at around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of individuals shooting off a gun.

Upon arriving, two suspects left the garage and were arrested. Police searched the garage, finding two guns and ammunition.

Connor Walker, 23, and Myles Winiarki, 25, have been charged with:

  • Unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Discharging firearm while being reckless
  • Mischief under $5,000

While investigating, Leduc RCMP also charged 23-year-old Shane Bradbury with careless use of a firearm after seizing seven more guns.

All three suspects have been released from custody and will be appearing in a Leduc court on October 26.
