EPS release photo of suspects in Amber Alert triggering abduction

Edmonton Police Service has released a photo of two men they suspect in the abduction of a vulnerable 40-year-old woman which led to an Amber Alert last Thursday.

Police believe the men stole the vehicle in the area of 118th Avenue and 91st Street while the victim was briefly left unattended by her caregiver.

The stolen 2013, white Toyota Sienna van was then spotted in Fort Saskatchewan by an off-duty Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer. The victim was found unharmed inside the parked still-running van.

In spite of the RCMP canine unit’s efforts, the suspects were able to evade tracking by the police.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567, or #377 by mobile phone. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at P3Tips.com.
