One arrested in Edmonton assault

Edmonton police have arrested a suspect in connection to an assault on Monday morning.

Police responded to reports of an assault at 129 Avenue and 85 Street. When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old who was seriously injured.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

While police were on scene, they arrested a 37-year-old who they believe to be the suspect.

Police continue to investigate and believe that the assault was targeted.
