EPS: hit-and-run vehicle found

Edmonton police have confirmed that they’ve located the vehicle that was involved in the fatal hit-and-run that happened on Victoria Trail on Monday evening.

The crash happened as a female pedestrian was crossing the northbound lanes of Victoria Trail against a red light. While crossing, she was struck by a blue minivan.

Life-saving measures were performed on the woman by witnesses, but she was pronounced dead by paramedics once they arrived.

Police are continuing to investigate the fatal hit-and-run collision and are looking for any information that could help them locate the suspect driver.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run are being asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
