Two new traffic circles proposed in Fort Saskatchewan

Two new traffic circles have been proposed in the 2024 budget in Fort Saskatchewan.

One of the proposed circles would be built on 95A Street beside Westpark 7-Eleven, while the other would be at the intersection of Westpark Drive and Woodbridge Link.

Both would be made to slow down traffic, as officials have noted that many vehicles drive over the speed limit down these streets.

The idea to bring new traffic circles to Fort Saskatchewan was proposed back in 2021, with some of the public showing their support for the project.

If the traffic circles do end up being built, each will cost around $1 million.

Final approval for the budget comes on December 12.
