South Edmonton home engulfed in flames

A home in south Edmonton was the scene of a fire on Monday morning.

Just before 6 a.m., firefighters were called to 1631 12 Street NW where they spotted visible flames on the roof of the building.

Luckily no one was injured, as a resident who lived down the street claimed that the house was under construction and had no residents.

By 9 a.m. that same morning, firefighters remained on the scene.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
