Edmonton’s new bus routes aim to help vulnerable Edmontonians

The City of Edmonton has brought out two new overnight bus routes to help citizens in need.

Starting now until March 31, there will be two new routes in Edmonton:

  • North route, starts at Northgate Transit Centre to downtown.
  • South route, starts at Southgate Transit Centre to downtown.

The north route will run from 10 p.m. until 4:30 a.m., while the south route runs from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

There will also be staff on the bus to help passengers access the services that they need.

Once the weather gets cold enough for Edmonton to activate its Extreme Weather Response, a third route will be added.

You can see a list of shelters and services in Edmonton by visiting the Homeward Trust website.
