EPS lay charges in death of missing man

Edmonton police have charged a man and woman in relation to the death of a missing man.

On January 7, 2020, EPS issued a news release looking for help locating 56-year-old Victor Noel, who had been last seen on Christmas Eve 2019.

Noel’s disappearance was considered out of character, which had police concerned for his wellbeing.

On August 18, 2022, Camrose RCMP responded to reports of human remains found in the area of Township Road 474 and Road Range 203 in Camrose County.

After extensive testing, the Edmonton medical examiner confirmed that that he had died as a result of a gunshot wound, and the death was a homicide.

On November 15, 2023, almost four years since Noel was last seen, police charged 31-year-old Colin Lepretre with the second-degree murder of Noel. Lepretre was in prison when he was arrested.

Just a week after arresting Lepretre, police also charged 28-year-old Elizabeth Quinn of Vancouver, British Columbia, in relation to Noel’s death.
