Leduc man charged in drug trafficking investigation

Leduc RCMP have arrested and charged a man following a drug trafficking investigation.

Back in July police began their investigation in the Leduc area. Months later, in September, police conducted a traffic stop and arrested 41-year-old Kelly Choma on an unrelated warrant.

Searching his vehicle resulted in police finding cocaine, meth, cash, digital scales, and drug trafficking material.

Choma has been charged with the following:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance (x3)
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of proceeds of crime
  • Obstructing a police officer

Choma is being held in custody on unrelated matters and will be appearing in Leduc court on December 7.
