Edmonton police looking for vehicle in fatal hit-and-run

Edmonton police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took the life of a cyclist on Friday afternoon.

Just after 12 p.m. officers responded to a hit and run in the area of 156 Street and 107 Avenue. It was reported that a cyclist was hit by a black Lincoln SUV when the vehicle entered a business in the area.

Following the crash, the SUV fled the scene while EMS took the 31-year-old male cyclist to hospital. Unfortunately, the cyclist died from his injuries.

Police are now searching for the SUV and driver. Anyone with information or dash cam footage of the incident are asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
