Morinville Fatal Crash on Highway 28

Morinville RCMP responded to a fatal crash on Highway 28 earlier today.

The crash happened near Township Road 552 just before 7:30 a.m. When emergency crews arrived, they tended to one driver, a 30-year-old St. Albert resident, who died on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries as officers remained on the scene to investigate.

Emergency crews have since cleared the scene and normal traffic flow has resumed.

According to police, poor road conditions are believed to be a factor in the crash.
