One dead after crash on Highway 28

One person is dead after a crash on Highway 28 earlier this week.

Just before 7:30 a.m., Morinville RCMP received reports of a serious car crash near Township Road 552. When they arrived, emergency crews tended to one driver, a 30-year-old resident of St. Albert.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene as another driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP remained on the scene for several hours to investigate but have since cleared the scene for normal traffic.

Poor road conditions are believed to have been a factor in the crash.
