Violent assault suspect wanted by Edmonton Police

Edmonton Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a random assault.

On November 12, a 58-year-old man got off the train at the Coliseum LRT station and boarded a bus.

The man was apparently sitting in a seat and looking out the window when he was attacked, leaving him seriously injured.

The suspect fled the bus and the victim was able to gather himself and seek medical assistance.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Believed to be in his 30s
  • Approximately 6’2”
  • Heavy Build
  • Black Hair
  • Thin moustache and goatee

The man was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, tan shoes, and an LA Dodgers baseball cap during the attack.

“This assault was completely random and obviously very traumatizing for the victim and those who witnessed the assault,” said Staff Sergeant Ian Brooks with EPS. “We would like to identify this suspect and are looking for the public’s assistance to help us with that.”

“Someone out there knows who he is.”

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is being asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
