Alberta allows cannabis to be sold at certain festivals and trade shows

Cannabis retailers will soon be able to sell their products at certain festivals and trade shows.

Starting next year, the Alberta government will allow these retailers to sell cannabis products at adult-only events.

The government will also start allowing retailers to store their products in display cases during closed hours. Previously, employees would need to store all products in a secured storage room at the end of every day.

These changes come as Alberta reviews the cannabis market following the fifth anniversary of abolishing cannabis prohibition.

These changes come into effect on January 31.
