Warning: Violent sex offender released in Edmonton

In the interest of public safety, the Edmonton Police Service is issuing a warning about the release of a convicted violent sex offender.

David Adams will be residing in Edmonton after his release from jail, with police believing he will commit another violent offence while in the community.

Adams is a child sexual offender with a history of using the internet to lure young teens. Adams has also approached young girls in public to request sex and expose himself.

Adams has been placed under a series of court-ordered conditions, which include:

  • Living at a residence approved by his supervisor.
  • Abiding by a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Not travelling out of the City of Edmonton without written approval of his supervisor.
  • Not entering into any personal or romantic relationship with a person who is a guardian of children under the age of 16.
