Two Edmonton homes destroyed in alleged arson

On early Friday morning, fires broke out at two homes in southwest Edmonton.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services were called to the scene just after 2 a.m. – and according to a neighbour, both of the homes were under construction, with one almost completed.

According to fire fighters, the fire was put out just before 4 a.m. and declared safe about an hour later, with both homes being destroyed in the blaze.

There were no injuries reported, with the cause of the fires being unknown. However, police confirmed that the incident is being treated as an arson.
