EPS release images of arson suspect

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an arson from over the summer.

On August 5 just before 10 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) were called to a fire in a storage unit at a U-Haul storage facility in the area of 111 Avenue and 154 Street.

Once the fire was deemed suspicious, EPS conducted an investigation. Although there were no injuries, the building suffered millions of dollars in damages.

With police confirming the incident to be an arson, they’ve released images of a suspect in the hopes that someone may recognize him. The man in question was reported to have left and entered the store several times before the fire, changing his shirt several times.

After the fire started, the suspect left south through the building parking lot.

Anyone who recognizes this suspect is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
