Bruderheim ice rink opens for the season

The outdoor rink in Bruderheim is open for the winter.

The rink, located at the corner of 50 Street and 52 Avenue, opened on Monday (Jan. 8). The rink will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., although this could change according to weather conditions.

The town announced the opening on their Facebook page while reminding users that safety equipment such as gloves and helmets are strongly recommended, but not required, as the town does not take responsibility for accidents or injuries on the ice.

Bruderheim also has an indoor rink, at the Karol Maschmeyer Arena, which has weekly public skates that you can see on the town’s website.

As for the outdoor rink, it’s also open all year round, being used in the summer as a soccer pitch.
