MIX 107.9 donated some holiday-themed water bottles to the Strathcona Food Bank.
The Strathcona Food Bank has been operating since 1983, with around 170 volunteers working five days a week to help provide food for people in need throughout the community.
Throughout 2022, the food bank served over 12,000 people, delivering over 4,100 hampers throughout the year.
“Food insecurity is an unfortunate reality for many people in our community. We believe that everyone in Strathcona County should have access to healthy food, and we strive to meet every demand,” wrote the food bank in a statement.
The Strathcona Food Bank is open between 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. from Monday to Friday. You can read more about the food bank on their website here.
