Police looking for suspect allegedly involved in several robberies

Edmonton police are looking for a suspect that they believe has been involved in several bank robberies since October.

Back in November, police issued a news release about a robbery at a TD Bank on Ellerslie Road on October 30.

Police noted that similar robberies were reported throughout south Edmonton on December 22, January 4, and January 6.

The suspect took the same steps in each robbery: wearing a disguise and approaching the teller with a written note, which claims he has a weapon and demands money.

After getting the money, the suspect flees the area. Police have mentioned that a weapon was not produced in any of the robberies.

The suspect is described as:

  • Between 25 and 30 years old
  • South Asian with tan complexion
  • Black facial hair
  • 5’7”
  • Slim build

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to contact EPs at 780-423-4567.
