Fort Saskatchewan Transit Getting New Buses, Launches Arc Cards

Fort Saskatchewan Transit (FST) will bring in some new buses while launching the Arc fare payment system in February.

The new buses will be replacing the current fleet as they reach their end-of-life. These new buses will have a distinctive look different than the previous fleet.

On top of this, FST is also implementing the Arc system – a contactless, reloadable card that streamlines transactions. This system is designed to make FST more accessible and efficient.

Arc is also available in Edmonton and other municipalities in the surroudning area.

“The arrival of these new buses, along with the Arc system, marks a major step forward in our commitment to serving the residents of Fort Saskatchewan. We are not merely adapting to growth; we are anticipating and shaping the future of transit to be more responsive, inclusive, and user-friendly,” said Lindsey Radford, FST’s transit supervisor.
