Hearing delayed for Edmonton City Hall accused shooter

The bail hearing for 28-year-old Bezhani Sarvar has been delayed until next month.

Sarvar is facing charges related to arson and firearms in relation to a brief shooting that happened at Edmonton City Hall on Tuesday.

According to police, Bezhani fired off several shots of a gun before throwing a Molotov cocktail, which started a small fire.

Bezhani surrendered to authorities with a bail hearing initially set for January 25. However, after appearing in court via video link, the hearing was pushed back to February 2.

Edmonton police are still working alongside the RCMP Integrated National Security Enforcement Teams on the case.
