Edmonton robbery suspect identified

Edmonton Police Service have identified one of two suspects in a robbery from earlier this month.

On January 5 just before noon two suspects entered a convenience store in the area of 89 Street and 118 Avenue. One suspect pulled out a gun and pointed it at the cashier while demanding money. The second suspect also threatened the cashier with bear spray.

The robbery ended with both suspects taking money from the till, stealing merchandise, and fleeing the store.

The suspect with the gun has been identified as 31-year-old Darius Brertton, with warrants being issued for his arrest.

Detectives are still looking to locate Brertton and identify the other suspect, who is described as a man approximately 5’10” tall wearing a white face covering, grey jacket, and blue jeans.
