RCMP arrest suspect in Lamont robbery

St. Albert and Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have made an arrest in connection to a robbery that happened in Lamont earlier this month.

The robbery was at a store near 51 Street and 48 Avenue on January 11, where three suspects entered the store, pepper spraying the clerk, before running off with cash from the register.

One of the suspects has been arrested, with police identifying them as 22-year-old Britney Dyck, a resident of St. Albert.

Dyck is facing several charges, including:

  • Robbery
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Disguise with intent

Dyck has been placed in custody and will be appearing in a Fort Saskatchewan court on February 8.

Police are still looking to identify the two other men involved in the robbery. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at 780-997-7900.
