Murder suspect wanted by Edmonton police

Edmonton police are looking for help in locating 44-year-old Nicholas Brashko for the murder of Fred Kolybaba.

Brashko is described as:

  • 5’4″
  • Heavy build
  • May walk with a limp

Brashko is also known to frequent pawn shops. He’s considered dangerous, with police asking residents not to approach him.

Fred Kolybaba was found dead on September 1, 2023, at a residence in the area of 132 Street and 133 Avenue, with an autopsy ruling his death as a homicide.

Anyone with information on Brashko’s whereabouts are being asked to contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567.
