St. Albert Firefighters Raising Funds for Muscular Dystrophy

St. Albert Firefighters will be filling their boots with your donations in the 14th annual Muscular Dystrophy Rooftop Campaign boot drive, organized by St. Albert Firefighters Local 2130.

A series of events starts Tuesday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the East Side Mario’s located at 615 St. Albert Trail. Firefighters will work as servers with all tips earned going to the donation drive.

Then, firefighters will collect donations at two Save-On-Foods locations in St. Albert, first on Saturday, February 24 at the Save-On located at 140 St. Albert Trail; then on Sunday, February 25 at the Save-On on 740 St. Albert Trail. Each day, volunteers will be in place to accept donations from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The rooftop camp out atop Fire Hall #2, located at 100 Bourreau Road, takes place for three nights from Wednesday February 28 to Saturday March 2.

Finally, St. Albert firefighters will host a wrap up party, on Friday, March 8, starting at 6 p.m. The event will feature a silent auction, a 50/50 draw, as well as door prizes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 780-459-7021, or on the night of the event at the Canadian Brewhouse south.
