Edmonton Homicide Detectives Probe Body Found in Northwest-area Parking Lot

Edmonton Police Service says an autopsy is scheduled for Monday following the discovery of the body of a man in his 30s in a parking lot near 117 Street and 162 Avenue at about 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Homicide detectives believe the body had been there for several hours before it was discovered, police say. Paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene.

“Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the man’s death and are asking anyone with information to come forward,” an EPS media release said on Saturday evening.

Police ask anyone who witnessed suspicious activity near 117 Street and 162 Avenue to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
