Edmonton police release video of suspect throwing objects at vehicles from overpass

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have released a video related to nine reported incidents of objects being thrown off the Whitemud overpass onto moving vehicles.

According to police, the first incident took place on December 28, with the most recent incident taking place on February 22.

“We understand there are citizens whose vehicles have been struck by large objects on Whitemud Drive who have not yet reported this to police,” said Detective Nina Di Sabatino with EPS. “We urge those citizens to come forward as they may be able to assist us in identifying the suspect responsible.”

Police have released a video which allegedly shows the suspect dropping objects off of the overpass. Police believe the man is between 5’8″ and 5’9″ with a thin to average build and typically wearing a black hoodie.

You can watch the video on the EPS website.

Anyone with information on the suspects identity, or anyone with video footage related to these incidents, are being asked to contact EPS 780-423-4567.
