Edmonton Police Service Probe Suspicious Queen Alexandra Death

Edmonton Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of a man in the Queen Alexandra area of the city near 106 Street and 74 Avenue.

Police had been called to the neighbourhood at about 6:00 p.m. on Monday to multiple reports of gunshots. However, officers were unable to locate any clues pointing to suspicious activity.

Then, about five hours later, police were called to a residence in the same area to a report of the body of a man discovered in a home. Paramedics declared the man dead on the scene.

Detectives with EPS homicide division are leading the investigation.

An autopsy is yet to be scheduled, police say.
