Fort Saskatchewan mourns the loss of Kassandra Gartner, the beloved and larger-than-life executive director of the Fort Saskatchewan Food Bank, cherished wife, and mother to three daughters.
Over the years, Kassandra was interviewed by MIX 107.9 and Heartland News to speak about the dozens of initiatives the food bank takes on to help meet the community’s need for support. The following piece was created using archived materials from those conversations over the recent past and provides a mere snapshot, or glimpse, at the everlasting legacy Kassandra leaves behind. It’s fair to say her impact on the community was immense and that her loss has left a void that cannot be reconciled.
