St. Albert RCMP Respond to Train Derailment

Mounties in St. Albert say they responded to the scene of a train derailment at about 7:00 a.m. on Monday Northwest of the corner of Poundmaker Road and Vaness Road in St. Albert.

“Emergency vehicles are on the scene and [the] public is ask[ed] to avoid the area while first responders work,” a media release stated.

A second media release clarified that there are, “no reported road closures or traffic issues regarding the train derailment at this time.”

“No injuries were reported and CN Police remain on scene for clean up,” the second release said.
