Things are always changing in Edmonton, with new projects, policies and initiatives always being planned, the City is asking residents for their input on things that will grow communities, establish government services , and get the city ready for the future.
There are currently two opportunities that Edmontonians can have a say in how the future of Edmonton will look.
“Changing Neighborhoods meet changing needs”:
City of Edmonton
The city is planning to rezone some land in the Windsor Park area, the proposal would turn 8726, 8730 and 8734 116 Street NW from a Small-Scale Residential Zone to a Medium Scale Residential zone. This would open the opportunity to build a 23-meter-high residential building with available space for community and commercial development.
To provide feedback on this rezoning visit engaged.edmonton.ca/WindsorParkRezoning until March 10.
“Supporting healthier and more inclusive communities”:
City of Edmonton
The city is exploring opportunities for farming and agricultural development on City land. Their goal is increasing sustainability, community vitality and local food production.
To provide feedback on the new idea of urban farming, there is a survey available until March 10.
