Strathcona County looking for public input on healthy aging

Strathcona County is giving residents the opportunity to give input on healthy aging in the community.

In April the county will be launching several projects to help capture the input of the county’s older adults and better understand their needs and priorities.

“It will be important to hear from as many citizens as possible and examine existing programs and services,” said Mayor Rod Frank. “Doing so will ensure our community supports the diverse needs of Strathcona County’s older adults, both now and in the future.”

The first phase of the project starts on April 10 with a survey being opened up that will be running for about a month. Afterwards, these results will be reported to council before beginning community consultation in the summer.

The survey will be opened to all ages, as the county wrote that whatever your age, healthy aging is a part of everyone’s future.
