Where to find the cheapest gas in the area

As gas refineries move to the summer blend of gasoline, gas prices all across the area have been on the rise.

Here’s where to find the cheapest gas in the area, according to data from GasBuddy.com.

In Fort Saskatchewan, gas is sitting at an average of $1.46 per litre, while the cheapest place is both the 7-Eleven on 95A Avenue, and the CO-OP gas station on Southfort Drive, where gas costs $1.29 per litre.

Over in Sherwood Park, gas can be found as cheap as $1.31 per litre at Costco, but a membership is needed to use the pumps. For those without a membership, the Circle K on Ridgemont Way is selling gas at $1.34 per litre.

In St. Albert there is another Costco selling gas at $1.31 per litre, while the cheapest place besides that is the Your Pot and CO-OP on Inglewood Drive with a Price tag of $1.34 per litre.

Finally, over in Edmonton, there are several stations selling gas at $1.29 per litre, such as the Hughes on 82 Street NW, and the Kikit on Princess Elizabeth Avenue.

Throughout Canada the cheapest province to get gas is in Manitoba, with an average cost of $1.32 per litre. The most expensive is British Columbia with an average cost of $1.78 per litre.
