St. Albert received Canadian Award for Financial Reporting

The City of St. Albert announced that they’ve been this year’s recipient of the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting.

The award was given out by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for annual reports made in 2022.

“This award recognizes our city’s consistency in communicating our financial picture and dedication to transparent and clear financial reporting year after year,” said Mayor Cathy Heron.

The report was judged by an impartial Canadian Review Committee, with the program being made to push municipalities across Canada to publish high-quality financial reports to the public.

This is the 22 consecutive year that the City of St. Albert has received this award. You can read the award-winning financial report on the City of St. Albert website.
