Edmonton police looking for suspect in jewelry store robbery

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) are looking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at a jewelry store.

The robbery was on March 3 just before 7 p.m. at a jewelry store near 42 Street and 23 Avenue. According to police, an employee was locking up the store when they were approached by a male suspect.

The suspect claimed that they had a gun and forced the employee back in the store, where the suspect ended up stealing cash and jewelry before fleeing the business and running westbound down 22 Avenue.

Police mentioned that the employee was not harmed during the robbery, with officers releasing photos of the suspect in the hopes that someone can identify them.

The suspect is described as male, 5’5″ to 5’10”, waering a black “CAT” branded jacket with black pants and black boots.

EPS are asking anyone who spots the suspect to not approach and to instead call police at 780-423-4567.
