A 62-year-old Edmonton woman was arrested after a man was shot in Vermilion River County around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

The RCMP were called about a weapons complaint to a rural home where officers found the body of Edward Hubert Beharrell, 47, of Edmonton.

“Based on the immediate suspicious nature of the death, police arrested the other occupant of the home,” police said in a media release published Sunday. The Alberta RCMP major crimes unit took over the investigation.
