$12.8M will be invested for phase three of the redevelopment of Winspear Centre

If the 2024 budget passes, the Government of Alberta will invest $12.8 million in the span of three years for the expansion of the Winspear Centre

In the third phase, a 550-seat acoustic performance venue will be completed and gathering spaces, music studios, and classrooms will be added.

The expansion will be a big support for the unique arts of Edmonton and it will create additional spaces for programing, meetings, and conferences for the public.

“For a world-renowned venue like the Winspear to build a centre that opens doors for all communities and all cultures is so important, because creating an inclusive space begins with representation.” said Darren Jordan, founder of 5 Artists 1 Love
