Two dead after Edmonton shooting

Edmonton police are investigating the deaths of two people following a shooting in the southwest side of the city.

According to police, the shooting was around noon on Monday in the area of Cavanagh Boulevard SW and Cherniak Way SW. When officers arrived, they discovered three injured men.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, they determined that two of the men, a 49-year-old and a 57-year-old, were dead. The surviving man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Autopsies have been scheduled this week for the two deceased men.

Although Edmonton’s homicide section has taken over the investigation, police say that they’re not looking for any suspects.
