Fort Saskatchewan looking for input on the feasibility of a Bike Skills Park

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is looking for resident’s input on the feasibility of bringing a Bike Skills Park to the community.

A Bike Skills Park is a facility built around the use of all types of bicycles, from BMX to mountain bikes. This park would accommodate bicyclists of all ages and skill levels.

“The feasibility study continues the investigation on the potential of Bike Skills Park for the City,” wrote the city on its website. “The study encompasses stakeholder engagement, site preference, partnership opportunities, phasing options, operational impacts, and more.”

The city has an online survey available until July 1 to capture community feedback on a preferred park site, with pop-up information displays located at facilities across the city.

There are also several community events going on to answer questions and bring participation to the study.

On May 8 there will be an information session at the Dow Centennial Centre, with another session on May 30 at Fort Saskatchewan City Hall. There will also be information available at the Legacy Park Family Festival on June 1.

You can find the survey on the City of Fort Saskatchewan website.
