Edmonton police looking to identify truck thief

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a series of truck thefts.

On the morning of March 17, an unidentified man stole several 2003 Ford F-350s from the area of 91 Street and 71 Avenue.

Over the course of several hours the suspect drove through Edmonton, Beaver County, and Strathcona County, stealing four other older Ford trucks.

During all of these thefts the suspect could arrive in a stolen Ford before stealing another Ford. In one incident the suspect even pulled a knife on a citizen.

On the morning of March 18, police received another report of a stolen 2001 Ford F-350 near 90 Avenue and 46 Street, with police determining that it was the same suspect in the previous thefts.

“The motivation behind these Ford truck thefts is unknown,” said Constable Whitney Stevens with EPS. “We are hopeful that someone out there recognizes the suspect in our composite sketch.”

Police have released a composite sketch, a photo, and CCTV footage of the suspect, in the hopes that someone is able to identify them.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is being asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
