EPS: Missing man likely dead

Edmonton Police Service (EPS) continue to investigate the suspicious disappearance of 41-year-old Barry Bedard.

Barry was last seen exactly one year ago in the area of 118 Avenue and 50 Street, with Barry reported missing several weeks later.

According to police, they believe that foul play was involved in Barry’s disappearance, and that Barry is likely deceased.

“While we’ve been unable to locate Barry, we remain hopeful that someone will share information that helps us conclude this investigation and allows us to bring some measure of comfort to Barry’s family,” said Staff Sergeant Colin Leathem with the EPS Homicide Section.

Barry is described as an Indigenous man standing at 6 foot 2 inches and weighing about 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair, with several tattoos on his body. One of these tattoos is a 118 Alpha tattoo on his neck.
