Strathcona County opens 2024 census

The 2024 municipal census in Strathcona County is now underway.

Households throughout the county will be receiving a PIN letter which outlines how to complete the census online.

The county highly recommends the online platform as its convenient and efficient. For those that can’t fill out the census online, census workers will be doing door-to-door collections starting on May 13.

Residents can also call the Census Office to complete the census over the phone, with the censes open from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Friday.

The census is designed to collect information on the number of residents in the county along with their ages, genders, primary languages, and length of residency.

Participating in the census gives the county insight and data into the needs of the community, with the last municipal census being completed in 2022.

More information on past census reports can be found on the Strathcona County website.
