Edmonton police warn about release of violent sexual offender

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) have released a warning to the public regarding the release of a violent sexual offender.

Ryan White, 42, is a convicted sexual offender with a history of violence against women, and he will be residing in Edmonton after being released from custody.

According to police, White has also assaulted a female toddler and an older adult as well. He’s been placed on a series of court ordered conditions.

These conditions include abiding by a curfew, living at a residence approved by his supervisor, and not being able to travel outside of Edmonton. He will also be required to wear an ankle monitor.

White is described as 6’4″ and 225 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

EPS said that they’re releasing this information so that residents can take precautionary measures and is not intended to provoke vigilante action.

Anyone with any information on potential breaches of these conditions are asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567.
