Man pleads guilty to carjacking, hit-and-run spree

An Edmonton man has plead guilty to charges of carjacking, robbery, and hit-and-run, following a spree in Edmonton last May.

According to the court, Michael Lariviere used a fake gun to steal several cars while also being involved in several hit-and-runs throughout the city.

There was even a video taken on Anthony Henday Drive which shows Lariviere in a stolen truck ramming the back of a car. According to the people filming, Lariviere had also pulled out the fake gun on them.

Lariviere’s spree ended after being hit by a police vehicle, bringing the stolen truck to a stop.

In court Lariviere’s lawyer said that they’re not disputing the facts read in court, but that Lariviere does not remember much from the spree.

It’s not known what day Lariviere’s sentencing will be on.
