Munchies and Sunchips recalled due to potential salmonella contamination

Frito Lay Canada have announced a recall following a potential salmonella contamination.

This recall affects Munchies Original Snack Mix and Sunchips Harvest Cheddar flavour, with the seasoning supplier saying that an ingredient was added that may contain salmonella.

Although salmonella hasn’t been found in the seasoning, the recall is still going through as a cautionary measure.

Frito Lay asks that people check their labels for the affected product, and to throw them out when done so.

Salmonella can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps.
