RCMP investigating murder at Alexander First Nation

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit are investigating a murder that happened on Alexaner First Nation earlier this month.

On May 5, Morinville police received a report from paramedics asking for help with a woman in medical distress. The woman was taken to hospital, where she was declared deceased.

Police in Morinville then contacted the Major Crimes Unit about the death, with the body being taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

This autopsy revealed that the woman’s death was a homicide.

Police are now investigating the woman’s death and are asking the public for any information that could help them locate a suspect.
